Alice in Wonderland is a popular and wide-spreading fantasy all over the world. I remember that I love it very much when I was a little girl. I watch its video many times without being tired. I felt curious about what Alice would encounter and who she would meet in the Wonderland. I would like to follow her steps to adventure and see something amazing. As a child with curiosity and youthful heart, I enjoyed every plot in the story. However, I have different aspect of Alice in Wonderland when I grow up. Through the course called Literature for Children, I can see the deeper aspect of the whole story. I begin to analyze every character’s personality and some meanings of sentences.
In the chapter one, Alice thought “What is the use of a book without pictures or conversation?” It’s true because no child likes to read a book full of words. A book which has pictures and dialogs can arouse child’s interest and imagination on the story. Besides, Alice often cried because she met some difficulties in the story. I think everyone has he/she emotion which should be allowed to be vented in any way. In the process of the whole story, we can see the Alice’s growth. At first, she cannot adapt everything in the Wonderland. However, she began to understand that. Although Alice changed her size many times in the story, she became a big size in the end which represent she has really grown up. She realized that everything in Wonderland is complex and dangerous. Growing big in size is equal to growing up in mind. As far as I’m concerned, Alice can really know what the adult world is through her dream in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland is a very good book which is worth to be read it again and again.
