●Reflection
I like the use of written words and illustration in this book. From the first page to the last page, the illustrator draws every character’s facial expression carefully, and each page has connection. Also, he uses black and white and colored pictures. Black and white pictures are for the conversation between parents and children. Colored pictures are for every situation the family meets. The author uses the similar sentence pattern to let the reader remember the plot easily. Moreover, it uses much onomatopoeia to let the reader have the feeling of virtually being in the plot. The layout in this book is very special. The illustrator puts three pictures in one page to emphasize the action and increase the excitement. I love this book very much! I can’t stop reading it again and again. Besides, it’s a good book for children to learn some words of sound.
